Shu + Anthony's Wedding

Who: Shu and Anthony

What: a winter wedding in Battery Park City, NYC

Where: Battery Gardens

Shu and Anthony’s March wedding at Battery Gardens in lower Manhattan was absolutely beautiful! Shu got ready at Double Tree Financial District, then we met up at the pier for the couple’s first look and bridal party portraits. Anthony was a good sport even when a seagull on the pier got a little too close for comfort! The ceremony was held inside the venue and the couple was bathed in perfect late afternoon light. Congrats!

Doug + Alvin's Wedding

Who: Doug and Alvin

What: an intimate luncheon wedding in NYC

Where: couple’s home, Bethesda Terrace, Lincoln Center Fountain and Bar Boulud

This long-time couple tied the knot in front of their closest family and friends in an intimate luncheon. The grooms got ready at their apartment on the Upper West Side and then we headed to Central Park for portraits by Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. From there we walked to Lincoln Center for family portraits and then headed to Bar Boulud for their ceremony and luncheon.

Josie + Victoria's Wedding

Who: Josie and Victoria

What: a windy wedding in Cape Cod

Where: Sesuit Harbor Cafe

These two tied the knot on an extremely blustery day in Cape Cod, but they didn’t let gale force winds and hurricane warnings dampen their spirits or their love! The nautical elements of their decor tied in perfectly with the setting. Congrats you two cuties!

Francesca + Dave's Wedding

Who: Francesca and Dave

What: a summer country club wedding

Where: Grand Oaks Country Club

This couple is so sweet and completely head over heels in love with each other! Their beautiful wedding at Grand Oaks Country Club in Staten Island, NY was a dream to capture. I loved the lush greenery of the club’s grounds and golf course. Congrats!

Devon + Sebasian's Wedding

Who : Devon and Sebastian

What: DIY summer wedding at a farm in the Hudson Valley

Where: Newton Farm

This DIY wedding at Newton Farm in West Kill, NY was truly a family affair. Devon’s brother lives and works at the farm and this was the first wedding they held there. The farm house where they got ready was built in the 1840s and is full of eclectic charm and decor. The ceremony took place outdoors surrounded by the gorgeous trees and valley. It couldn’t have been more lovely!

Lindsay + Anthony

Who: Lindsay and Anthony

What: UES engagement portraits

Where: Carl Schurz Park

This couple lives just a few blocks away from this lovely park on New York City’s Upper East Side. With beautiful arches, a view of the East River, and not that many tourists, this park is a great place for couples who want a little more privacy for their portrait session. Lindsay and Anthony were such a fun couple to capture - Anthony’s sense of humor got Lindsay smiling from ear to ear.

Stege Family 1st Birthday Portraits

Who: Stege family

What: 1st Birthday Baby Portraits

Where: Central Park, NYC

For this family shoot in Central Park the primary goal was to get portraits of baby boy for his 1st Birthday party invitations. His older sisters were great helpers getting their brother to giggle for the camera, and after we were done with their brother's portraits the girls did some tree climbing and impromptu nature art-making with flowers and pinecones. So glad spring is here at last!!

Monica + Lincoln's Wedding

Where to start with this amazing wedding? First off, I went to Oberlin College with this rad couple and was so so thrilled to reconnect with them and to capture their gorgeous wedding. They are sweet and beautiful people, inside and out. The day started off with a big Ultimate Frisbee game at Croton Gorge Park where all guests were invited to participate. Monica was sad she had to leave the game early to get her hair done. :) Monica got dressed at her parents' home in her old childhood room, which I loved. The ceremony and reception took place at Croton State Park and many guests were camping or staying in the cabins. I am a sucker for DIY weddings and this one was a true labor of love created by their friends and family: Lincoln's cousin provided beautiful musical accompaniment on the banjo during the ceremony; a friend officiated their ceremony; all the flowers came from Monica's father's garden; their friends helped them make all the hand-painted signs, reception decor, bouquets and flower arrangements; Monica's brother brewed their beer (!); Lincoln's other cousin baked four beautiful and delicious cakes; another friend of theirs live painted the reception! On top of that, since they are very eco-conscious, all the plates and cutlery was made of compostable materials. What a special day! Congratulations to this amazing pair.

Emily + Ben's Wedding

Emily and Ben got hitched at City Hall in Manhattan, witnessed by their close family and friends. Later that day the festivities continued at the rad Brooklyn Crab in Red Hook, which has a fun beach-shack vibe perfect for a summer evening celebration. (Side note, the next time I go back to Brooklyn Crab -  not on a gig - I plan to try their amazingly tasty-looking beer-garitas!). I loved all the joy and love that radiated throughout the whole day, not to mention how flippin' adorable this couple is together and their beautiful smiles. Congratulations!

Sarah + Justin's Wedding

Sarah and Justin were married at Housing Works Bookstore in Soho, NYC. We started at the Mondrian Soho then strolled up Crosby Street for portraits before the ceremony. So many strangers wished them congratulations in the few short blocks from the hotel to Housing Works - who says New Yorkers aren't friendly? Smiles and laughter abounded during the whole event. Congrats!!

Charles + Ryan's Wedding

Charles and Ryan were married in true NYC fashion on the 1-year anniversary of their engagement. After going back and forth about whether they wanted a big blow-out wedding or an intimate affair with close friends and family, they opted for the latter and asked me to accompany them "paparazzi-style" on their special day. We started off at City Hall for the ceremony, strolled over the Brooklyn Bridge for portraits, dined on pizza in South Street Seaport for lunch, headed over to Chelsea Piers for bowling, hit up the High Line for more photos, then met up with a group of their friends at Murray's Cheese Bar for champagne toasts and dinner. They opted for a cheese plate instead of a cake for their dessert - gotta love that! Cheers to these special guys - I love you and congrats!

Andre + Solimar

We started out in Jackie Robinson Park in Harlem (the spot of this couple's first date) and ended at sunset by the West Harlem Piers. Solimar is a dancer and one of my favorite parts of this shoot was their impromptu dancing at the park's amphitheater. Adorable! I love this couple's radiant smiles, their love really shines through!
