ABOUT MARIELLE

I’m Marielle. I’m a lifestyle photographer based in Vancouver, B.C. who loves capturing weddings, couples, and families. I have a candid approach and always strive to make my couples feel at-ease and beautiful during all aspects of your wedding day or portrait session. I love all the biggest emotions and smallest details of a wedding day and do my best to capture all the thought and care you’ve poured into planning your special day. The coverage for your day will be partly photojournalistic and partly more directed/editorial; I aim for a blend of artistry and naturalism. My overall style is joyful, relaxed and personal.

I moved to Canada in 2019 after living in New York City for 13 years and am now serving the greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley areas. I grew up in Delaware and received my B.A. in Studio Art and Theater from Oberlin College. My husband Craig and I met when were college freshmen and have been together ever since! After college we moved to NYC, where I worked in the theater and non-profit sectors for several years before starting my photography business in 2013. 

In my spare time I love biking, singing karaoke (I love the Smule Sing app!), reading, perusing art and design blogs, dabbling in graphic design and practicing yoga. I love meeting new people and finding beauty and humor in every day moments and interactions.
