Lee Huang Family

Who: Jen, Lawrence and Ava

What: Outdoor family portrait session

Where: Gantry Plaza in LIC, Queens

I’ve known Jen since we were kids and I’ve been lucky enough to capture her wedding and newborn photos! Now she and her family are planning to move to California and they wanted some photos capturing the NYC skyline. Gantry Plaza in LIC is a great option since it offers great views and isn’t as touristy as DUMBO. I will miss this family a lot! Good luck on your next big adventure!

Lauren + Scott's Maternity Session

Who: Lauren and Scott

What: Autumn maternity session at a pumpkin patch and park

Where: Portland, OR

My bestie Lauren is expecting a little girl so when I went to visit her on the PNW we did a maternity session during our weekend getaway to Portland, OR. I’ve been photographing this lovely lady since we were teenagers and she looks especially beautiful and radiant as an expecting mom! I can’t wait to meet her daughter in a few months!

Soukup Family

Who: Maita, Jake and toddler Liam

What: Outdoor summer family portrait session

Where: White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, DE

Maita and I have been friends since we were kids and both grew up in the same home town. I was so happy to photograph her adorably rambunctious toddler Liam in one of my favorite local parks. Liam had energy to spare and certainly didn’t mind running around in the mid-summer’s heat! We ended the session by getting custard and water ice (a Delaware summer dessert speciality) at Rita’s Water Ice. What a fun summer afternoon!

Filley Family

Who: Chris, Alexis and baby Sofia

What: In-home newborn session

Where: Park Slope, Brooklyn

I photographed this lovely couple’s engagement and wedding and I was so happy to photograph them with their baby daughter when she was just two weeks old! It's such an honor to go into the home of a couple that you've known for years and to not only capture them as they are now but see the past images you've done for them hanging up on the walls! I was absolutely thrilled to see that these lovely folks had a drawing of one of their engagement photos a friend had made for them right above their bed! Swipe right to see the original two photos hanging on the wall. ❤️❤️

Lee Ann + Ray's Wedding

Who: Lee Ann and Ray

What: Theatrical DIY downtown NYC summer wedding

Where: New York Theatre Workshop and Downtown Art

I met Lee Ann several years ago through working at Ars Nova Theater Company and New York Theatre Workshop so I was thrilled to photograph her wedding for her. I knew it would be a unique one! Ray got ready at The Standard Hotel East Village. Lee Ann got ready at Downtown Art and their first look was on the roof of the building. We then walked a few blocks for family portraits at First Street Community Garden. Their ceremony was held onstage at New York Theatre Workshop, featuring an incredible song by The Bengsons. Their reception was held across the street at Downtown Arts. What a fun day! Congrats!

Lee Huang Family

Who: Jen, Lawrence and baby Ava

What: In-home baby and family portrait session

Where: Brooklyn, NY

Jen and I grew up in the same town and I was so happy to photograph her and Lawrence’s wedding. I was even happier when she asked me to photograph their new baby daughter at their apartment in Brooklyn! Baby Ava was a few month’s old when we did these portraits and just beginning to smile and react to the camera. What an adorable baby and family!

Brian + Fabi's Wedding

Who: Brian and Fabi

What: March wedding in the Catskills

Where: Stroudsmoor Country Inn

These two were originally planning to get married in Puerto Rico, but Hurricane Maria forced them to quickly adjust their plans! Instead they were married at the lovely Stroudsmoor Country Inn in the Catskills. I’ve known Brian for almost ten years from working together at a non-profit in downtown NYC and so when they were scrambling to find a photographer for their new plans I knew it was destiny for me to capture their wedding for them. Congrats you two!

Jenna + Doug's Wedding

Who: Jenna and Doug

What: Winter wedding in Long Island City, Queens

Where: Paper Factory Hotel, Gantry Park, and Gantry Loft

I first met Jenna almost eight years ago when we both worked at the same non-profit in Tribeca. It was a true pleasure to capture her and Doug’s classy winter wedding. Jenna got ready at the Paper Factory Hotel, which is only a few mere blocks from my apartment in LIC! From there the bridal party headed to the LIC waterfront at Gantry Plaza for quick outdoor portraits (it was freezing!) and then onto Gantry Loft for the ceremony and party. During the reception it started to lightly snow, and we stepped outside for a snowy night portrait that ended up being my favorite image of the day. Congrats to this lovely couple!
