For this family shoot in Central Park the primary goal was to get portraits of baby boy for his 1st Birthday invitations. His older sisters were great helpers getting their brother to giggle for the camera, and after we were done with their brother's portraits the girls did some tree climbing and impromptu nature art-making with flowers and pinecones. So glad spring is here at last!!
Oh boy, prepare yourself for a long blog post -- I had a hard time narrowing down my favorite images of the year! I had such a good time looking back through the year's photos and was reminded again how lucky I am to capture moments of love and beauty for a living. A sincere thank you to all the amazing couples and families whom I worked with this year -- you make my job a dream come true. Here's to a happy, healthy and beautiful 2015. xoxo
This young fellow loves all things bridge/tunnel/train related, so his father and I thought a great place for an afternoon photoshoot would be the Long Island City waterfront and Gantry Plaza Park because of its marvelous skyline and bridge views. Our afternoon ended with a stroll across the Pulaski Bridge, which provoked a huge grin from the budding "railfan"!
Part 2 of my "2013 in Review" posts - families and kiddos!
For this family photo session we spent a crisp fall morning on The Highline, one of my favorite spots for greenery in NYC.
I've known this lovely family for about 4 years and it's always a pleasure to shoot photos for their annual family cards/calendars. One of the things I love most about doing family photos is seeing how the kids and change grow each year. xoxo
I had such a great time with this beautiful family (and it's been especially fun seeing their family grow)! Little lady was feeling a little grumpy at first getting over a cold, but by the end of our time in Prospect Park she was giggling like a maniac, thanks to her Moms' excellent tickling skills. xoxo
This lovely family is moving to D.C. so we did a family photo shoot to commemorate their current home in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We strolled from their apartment to the East River Park and enjoyed a pleasant summer morning together.
Being present to capture special moments in people's lives is such an honor and privilege. I've been lucky enough to shoot three milestones with this lovely couple: their baby's gender reveal party, maternity portraits and most recently, their baby naming ceremony.

This was my first ever maternity session - what an amazing experience! Congratulations to a wonderful couple.
