These photographs and the process of their creation are awe inspiring! Chinese artist Liu Bolin meticulously paints his whole body to disappear into his surroundings. 

Aside from the fact that the pieces are really cool, the message is also quite powerful. The series was inspired by his displacement in 2005 after the  government bulldozed the area of Beijing where he and many other artists were living. They speak to his

sense of not fitting in to modern  society and act as a silent protest against the persecution of artists
